Tom Andel is Executive Editor for Logistics Management (LM) magazine. He has more than 25 years of experience covering materials handling, transportation, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain management. Andel is best known to the supply chain industry for his many years as Chief Editor of Material Handling Management (MHM) magazine, a Penton Media publication.


Mike Brown

 

Mike Brown is VP of Strategic Planning & Research at YRC Worldwide (formerly Yellow Roadway Corporation). He previously led the Yellow Transportation marketing communications group and the company’s sponsorship efforts in NASCAR and is well known around the company for wearing socks color coordinated to the various YRC Worldwide brands. He’s also been a frequent speaker to various industry associations on marketing best practices, leadership, and innovation.


Joel Dunkel

 

Joel Dunkel is a veteran of the trade show industry with more than 15 years experience. In 2001, he started EventEvolution Management Inc., a trade management firm specializing on producing vertical market events that provide a platform to educate, enlighten and conduct business in a creative environment.


Brian Everett, ABC

 

Brian Everett has nearly 20 years experience in marketing and communications. As Senior Partner of MindShare Strategies, he manages the agency’s key accounts. Everett also was Director of Marketing Communications for C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. Everett serves on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and the Council of Supply Chain Management (Twin Cities Roundtable), performs as the Executive Director for both TMCA and the National Strategic Shippers Transportation Council (NASSTRAC), and has published many articles on logistics issues in the national trade press.


Sean Fitzpatrick

 

Sean Fitzpatrick is Senior Client Strategis with KempGoldberg, working with their client management team to drive accounts from a high-level, strategic perspective. His daily focus is the impeccable delivery of the three products the agency provides: strategy, creative and a positive process. Part of this quest is the creation of clear, compelling presentations that close accounts, sell creative to client teams, report program results and keep the agency team informed and on board. A recent transplant to Maine from Los Angeles, Sean brings 10+ years of experience to his role at K|G, having developed and managed successful marketing programs for such household names as Amtrak, Marriott, AAA, Coldwell Banker and Kaiser Permanente.


Dennis Grim

 

Dennis Grim is Executive Producer and Strategist for MindShare Strategies, with a career in communications and marketing that spans 30 years. Heis also Executive Producer of Transportation Digest, Sound Business, and Sound Selling—direct audio marketing programs. He is active in communications programming, education and scholarship committees of numerous associations, including TMCA, NASSTRAC, the Business Marketing Association (BMA), the American Society of Transportation and Logistics, the Intermodal Association of North America, and The Traffic Club of Chicago.


Mike Horn & Fanny Stronach

 

Mike Horn and Fanny Stronach are partners in the advertising, marketing and public relations firm of Horn & Stronach. They each have more than 25 years in strategic marketing and advertising experience. Their agency’s transportation industry experience includes airlines, airports, trucking companies and trucking OEMs. For the last 15 years, the agency's principal transportation clients have been Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks, Inc. The agency’s work has been recognized in local, regional and national competitions. Mike is an adjunct lecturer in advertising at Wake Forest University. Fanny has served on the advisory boards of Bryan School of Business at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University.


Caroline Lyle

 

Caroline Lyle serves as the Director of Marketing for McLeod Software, a leading provider of imaging, dispatch, accounting and operations management software for the trucking and logistics industries. With over 13 years of marketing experience in industries including banking, investments, and hospitality, Caroline is now an active member of the Transportation Sales & Marketing Association (TSMA) and the Transportation Marketing and Communications Association (TMCA). Since joining McLeod in September of 2006, her marketing efforts have contributed to a 37% increase in sales for the company.


Michael Madej

 

Michael Madej is General Manager, eMedia Sales & Marketing
for IndustryWeek. He directs online sales and marketing activities for the IndustryWeek brand — and oversees IndustryWeek.com's online advertising, which includes banner ads, e-newsletter placements, sponsored white papers, and website category sponsorships. Madej leads IW's webcast business, producing over 50 sponsored online events that will attract more than 40,000 registrants and 25,000 attendees this year. He is also responsible for developing new eMedia products within the IndustryWeek portfolio.


A.J. Maestas

 

A.J. Maestas is the founder of Navigate Marketing, an agency dedicated to the measurement and analysis of sponsorships and promotions. Maestas built his expertise while working for Yellow Transportation on their NASCAR sponsorship, at IEG as the Senior Manager of their valuation group, and most recently at rEvolution as their Director of Marketing. His professional experience includes working with the sponsors, properties and agencies of the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, AVP, NASCAR, IRL, Champ Car and NCAA. Maestas is also a frequent speaker at conferences and universities on the topic of sponsorship measurement and return on investment.


Michelle McManus

 

Michelle McManus is a marketing specialist with Ozburn-Hessey Logistics. She has been with OH Logistics since 2000.  She is responsible for all OH Logistics online marketing initiatives. McManus is the founder of the Middle Tennessee Blogger and Podcaster’s Group and maintains 8 personal blogs including This Is Smyrna, TN community blog. She attended Nashville State Tech where focused on computer programming, business management, and engineering. McManus also served in the U.S. Navy. 


Spring McMurry

 

Spring McMurry, Maverick Transportation’s Public Relations Manager, has extensive experience in driver recruiting marketing/advertising. She earned her degree in Marketing Management from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2000, after which she worked for a large advertising agency specializing in the transportation industry before making her move to Maverick in 2002.  At Maverick, McMurry develops and implements public relations, advertising, marketing, and in-house communications for a fleet of over 1,500 flatbed and open air equipment units.


Sundy Muse-Morton

 

Sundy Muse-Morton is Recruiting & Marketing Director at O&S Trucking. She brings 14 years of diverse industry experience as well as having a Bachelors Degree in Logistics & Transportation. After training in several areas of trucking she is now able to consolidate her marketing talents with Recruiting, Sales, Human Resources and Public Image. This has allowed O&S to present a consistent message of who they are internally and externally.  Muse-Morton has been quoted in several transportation articles as well as having one article she authored be published. She sets the example by being one of the top community and charity enthusiasts at O&S Trucking.


Tom Nightingale

 

Tom Nightingale is Vice President, Communications and Chief Marketing Officer for Con-way Inc., where he is responsible for the oversight of the global branding of Con-way and its business units. He and his team are responsible for strategic marketing, public relations, advertising, digital media, communications, and market research, for Con-way Freight, Con-way Transportation Services, Menlo Worldwide, and Road Systems Inc. Nightingale joined Con-way Inc. in July 2006 bringing with him nearly 20 years experience in the sales/marketing arena, most recently from Schneider National Inc. He also worked in a variety of commercial and operational roles for several transportation, technology, logistics and supply chain companies including UPS, CSX, and GATX.



Michael Pennington

 

Mike Pennington is Senior Director-Global Marketing Communications and Industry Relations at ArvinMeritor Inc. He has responsibility for the Tier 1 global supplier's Commercial Vehicle Systems businesses' strategic marketing communications
initiatives. The disciplines include media relations/publicity, advertising, trade shows and exhibits, electronic marketing, and sales collateral, as well as industry relations. Pennington is a member of the Truck Writers of North America, the Public Relations Society of America, the Automotive Press Association, the Automotive Public Relations Council of MEMA, the Allied Committee for Trucking (Act 1), and Trucker Buddy (board
member).


Rob Puleo

 

Rob Puleo is an Executive Producer at Roadway responsible for the development and production management of audio, video, multimedia communications. He has production experience in over 40 states, Canada and Mexico. His freelance director and producer credits include McDonald’s, The Cleveland Browns, ESPN, Cisco Systems and The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. In 2005, AV Multimedia Producer magazine ranked him among the top 30 in his profession in the nation.


Michael Renderman

 

Michael Renderman is Vice President Business Development for Cision US (formerly known as Bacon’s Information Inc.). Prior to joining the firm, he was with Iron Mountain, a records management organization, where he supervised regional sales efforts. His current responsibilities include the management of new business sales, designed to help new clients drive more successful PR campaigns through Cision’s suite of services. Renderman is a regular contributor to industry publications such as PR News and is a frequent speaker on the topics of public relations, communication research and analysis at national and local conferences such as those sponsored by PRSA.


Kevin Senne

 

Kevin Senne is the Director of Global Deliverability and Email Production for Premiere Global Services.  He recently joined Premiere after leading Email Operations at Travelocity.com LP for 7 years, during which time he was responsible for the successful delivery of more than 5 billion targeted communications.  In his current role at Premiere, Kevin is responsible for optimizing communications delivery channels for several hundred clients. Premiere remains one of the industry leaders in strategic services based upon their thought leadership in the areas of process and reputation building.


Jill Schmieg

 

Jill Schmieg is a member of the Supply Chain Solutions Marketing team at Ryder, where she is responsible for the execution of various lead generation and marketing communication programs. Prior to joining Ryder, Jill spent five years in BtoC Real Estate Sales and Marketing. Under her leadership in the last two years, Ryder has received outstanding recognition by the TMCA Compass Awards in a variety of categories.


Todd Shelton

 

Todd Shelton is product marketing manager for Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks, Inc. After holding various direct sales and strategic marketing positions in the trucking industry, Todd joined Volvo Trucks in 2000. Since that time, Todd has worked to develop a B2B and B2C marketing program that is among the best in the industry by leveraging the Volvo and Mack® brands' repuations, the experience and dedication of staff, and partnerships with suppliers in the industry.


Marcio Stewart

 

Marcio Stewart is the Director of Research and New Product Development at Con-way Inc. Stewart has more than 14 years experience in international logistics and transportation. Prior to joining Con-way Inc, Stewart was Director of the Transportation and Logistics Practice of Infoamericas, a business intelligence and strategy firm focusing on the Latin American market. Stewart also was the Marketing Director for KPMG’s Transportation practice, and held senior marketing and strategy positions with TNT, UPS, FedEx and DHL.


Hernan Vera

 

Hernan Vera is the Director of Marketing-Supply Chain Solutions for Ryder, a leading logistics and transportation company. Vera has held a variety of increasingly responsible positions throughout his career at Ryder in finance, sales, and marketing. He currently directs Ryder’s marketing, advertising, communications and customer retention and development efforts to “Global 2000” companies.


Greg Wilkinson

 

Greg Wilkinson is Parter at GrowthPoint, Inc. Before co-founding GrowthPoint, he was the Manufacturing Industry Marketing Manager at Microsoft, responsible for increasing market share through focused lead generation and sales tool development. With a background in sales, he created compelling marketing campaigns which built the foundation for a successful sales cycle by connecting customer needs to business value delivered. Before joining Microsoft, Wilkinson was employed at Rockwell Automation.
