  FAQs

How do I transfer a membership?

If an employee who leaves an employer is a TMCA member, he or she retains the individual membership. However, in addition, membership also can be transferred within a company to a new person who replaced the position of the original member. However, the following criteria must be met:

  • The original member must have at least three months left on the membership.
  • The original member is no longer with the company.
  • The employer sends a request to transfer the membership on company letterhead, which may be faxed or mailed to the TMCA office. Please include current information of the new member: name, title, phone and fax number, e-mail, and mailing address and the name and member ID of the original member.

Why am I unable to enter the Member Center?

When initially registering with the Member Center on our Web site, enter your Member ID number in the User Name field (this ID number was assigned to you when your membership was initially processed). Then enter your Member ID number in the Password field as well. After initially registering, you can change your Password to 8-character password you would like (or continue to use your Member ID for both fields). Also remember that once you change your password, it is case-sensitive. Another common error is to put a space at the beginning or end of the data entry field. If you do this, the Web site will recognize it as a character and therefore will not recognize your information.

If you still have problems please e-mail the Member Service Center or call us at 609-799-4900 during regular business hours.  >Top

How much are TMCA membership dues?

This depends upon your membership type. For individual memberships, annual dues are U.S. $295 for the first year and only $250 for renewal each year thereafter. Your membership is an individual membership and belongs to you, no matter if you subsequently move to another job. If you are part of a corporate group membership with multiple memberships, an organization can have four members for U.S. $795 for the first year and only $750 annual dues thereafter (additional members from your organization then can join for a reduced annual membership fee of only $150 per individual). However, this corporate group membership must be proactively coordinated by a representative of the organization; otherwise, membership defaults to individual memberships from within the organization.  >Top

How can I update my contact information?

The easiest way is to visit the Members Only section of www.TMCAtoday.org and click "Update My Profile." Fill in the appropriate fields with the new information, and be sure to click update. You cannot change your name (e.g. if you get married) online.

Alternatively, members can either call the TMCA Member Services Center at 609-799-4900 or e-mail their changes. >Top

What are the strategic interest groups that I can join?

As a member, you can automatically join one or more strategic interest groups in general areas of marketing, sales, or communication. This is a service free to all TMCA members, and allows you to receive access to information and resources that are of high interest to professionals in any of these areas. Just contact the TMCA Member Services Center at 609-799-4900 or e-mail and indicate which group or groups to which you'd like to be assigned. >Top

How do I find specific information or data for a project?
