  Ohio Compass Judging Team Completes Session
   
 
  Dublin, Ohio - A team of 10 seasoned marketing professionals met today and successfully completed the judging of approximately 30 percent of all entries made in the 2009 TMCA Compass Awards Program. The judging session took place at the corporate offices at Pacer International, in Dublin, Ohio, a suburb of Columbus.

This year, there were nearly 170 entries in the TMCA Compass Awards Program, according to Brian Everett, ABC, TMCA's chief executive officer. One judging session took place last week in Tennessee (at the OHL corporate headquarters in Nashville) and another will take place next week in Illinois (at the Echo Logistics corporate headquarters in Chicago).

"The caliber of marketing professionals who participated on this judging team was extremely impressive," said Martha Anderson of James Street Associates, who was proctor of the event. "These experienced pros evaluated each entry for solid strategy, creative execution, and measurable results - all things that marketing professionals in the transportation industry should be striving to achieve."

Judges on the Ohio Judging Team were: Scott Frederick at YRC North American Transportation; Holly Stapleton of Network Global Logistics; Barbara Gould of Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems; John Hindes of CT Logistics; Darcy Powell of TranSystems/ESYNC; John Rudy of Total Quality Logistics; Nate Riggs of People To My Site; Sarah Harding of World Trade magazine; and Kelly Bauer and Rebecca Hudson of Pacer International.

Recipients of the 2009 TMCA Compass Awards Program will be announced in mid-April, after all judging sessions have been successfully completed.
